The Centre for Research in Education Inclusion and Diversity (CREID) undertakes research exploring issues of inclusion and diversity in relation to children, young people and adults in education and related areas of policy and practice (including health, social welfare, training and employment).
One of the aims of the "Higher Education in Scotland, the Devolution Settlement and the Referendum on Independence" project is to promote the engagement of young people in the independence debate.
This week CREID launched a film, Our Future: Young People’s Views on Higher Education in Scotland, which involves discussions with young people aged 14 to 17, from Edinburgh, Fife, Glasgow, the Western Isles and West Lothian; in total, 89 young people participated in making the film. It is available to view either in full (20 minutes) or as five individual sections.
