There are a couple of places remaining for this one-day seminar for policymakers, politicians, practitioners and academics, organised by the University of Edinburgh: Assessing security governance in the UK and Scotland under current arrangements.
Friday 4 October 2013
9.30 - 17.00
Scottish Parliament, committee room 6 (sponsored by Graeme Pearson MSP)
The first of six events in the ESRC seminar series 'Security in Scotland, with or without constitutional change'. If Scotland votes for independence it will have implications for security governance in Scotland and the rest of the UK. Even without independence, is security governance already encroaching beyond 'reserved matters'? These seminars will create a forum to explore these implications and eventualities. They will build knowledge and research capacity in Scottish academia, government and politics to inform the independence debate and any post-referendum settlement.
