From 14 - 16 June 2021, CCC will be holding their online summer school Sovereignty, Independence and Constitutional Change. We are looking for 12 doctoral researchers and early career researchers in the fields of political science, political sociology, political theory, political economy or constitutional law to join our academics for a 3 day summer school aimed at providing participants with feedback on their ongoing research and academic careers. There will also be the opportunity for mentoring and knowledge exchange with leading scholars in their field.
Professor Michael Keating (University of Aberdeen) will provide the keynote speech explaining how to engage in the study of sovereignty claims, movements and disputes, with more names and workshops to be announced soon.
Sounds like something you'd be interested in? You can apply by providing a 150 word abstract of your research, along with your name, affiliated University, and year of doctorate to centre.constitutional.change@ed.ac.uk. The deadline is 17 May 2021. Abstracts will be assessed by the CCC selection committee, and those who are successful in applying will be asked to submit a 5 minute, pre-recorded presentation on their research ahead of the start of the summer school. A full agenda for the summer school will be provided to all successful applicants.
